Masen’s K9’s BUILD Program is a structured, results driven program designed to build calm behavior, clear communication, and real-world reliability between you and your dog. Instead of focusing on a quick fix, we build a strong foundation that carries over into everyday life, at home, and in public environments.

Your dog will learn how to settle calmly, follow guidance under distraction, walk politely next to you, and respond reliably to cues like sit, down, and recall. We also focus heavily on impulse control, including waiting at doors and learning how to think through excitement instead of reacting to it. We also set aside time in this program to tackle your dog’s problem behaviors, like jumping, or counter surfing

Confidence building is woven throughout the entire program to help your dog become more resilient, and comfortable navigating the world with you. This program will teach you and your dog to work with each other, not against each other.

This program is designed to build bonds and give your dog a good start. Your dog will learn how to settle calmly, walk politely on leash, respond to sit and down, and a place command. We focus heavily on proper play, and how to build confidence in your dog. This program is great for owners who have isolated issues with their dog like jumping on guests, or rushing through the front door, and that is their main focus.

Before advanced task work or public access training can be successful, a dog must learn how to remain grounded under pressure, responsive in distraction-heavy environments, and consistent in their behavior across all situations. The ANCHOR program establishes the baseline.

This program focuses on creating a dependable working relationship, reinforcing impulse control, engagement, and calm neutrality in real-world settings. It is not a complete service dog system on its own. It is the essential starting point that everything else is built on.

A fully trained service dog is not the result of a single program. It is achieved through multiple structured program completions over time, each layer adding new skills, increasing reliability, and expanding the dog’s ability to perform in complex environments. The ANCHOR program is the first step in that progression, setting the standard for everything that follows. Without a strong anchor, advanced training cannot hold. Board & Train Programs:

Masen’s K9’s Board & Train Program offers a fully immersive training experience. Dog’s stay in the trainers’ residence for the duration of the program selected by the owner, allowing for consistent structure, clear expectations, and around the clock reinforcement. This program is designed for dogs that need focused attention, stronger habit building, or help overcoming behavioral challenges. Training is integrated into daily life, mealtime, walks, rest, and controlled social exposure. Throughout the program, owners receive a daily check in for updates on progress and follow up transfer sessions are provided to ensure a smooth transition back home.
